Applying to the Ph.D. program
Students are admitted only in September, and completed applications should be received by February 1. Applicants should take the GRE General Test and mathematics Subject Test in time for scores to arrive by February 1. TOEFL and TSE scores are required of international students whose native language is not English. The minimum TOEFL scores required are 250 (computer-based) or 600 (paper-based).
Please send 3 letters of recommendation and one official copy of your transcripts directly to Graduate Admissions Committee, Mathematics Department, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY 14627. Your GRE and TOEFL scores will be sent directly to the department.
The application fee is waived for all applicants.
