Description:
Differential equations arise in many situations where one wishes to make a mathematical model. Mostly, the equation cannot be solved a la MTH163. This course develops some of the methods used to extract "qualitative" information about the behavior of solutions. It draws on linear algebra to a great degree and may help motivate some of the features of that subject.
Topics covered:
A second course in ordinary differential equations in the real domain.
