Former Math Major Steven Chu appointed Energy Secretary

Nobel prize winning physicist Steven Chu was a math and physics major at UR, in the class of 1970. In 1968 he won the University's Stoddard Prize. For many years Chu has been interested in energy issues. President elect Barack Obama has just appointed Chu as Secretary of Energy.
