In the fall semester, Professors Dan Geba and John Harper will be holding an
undergraduate problem solving seminar.
The first goal is to encourage students to become active problem solvers, since
problems constitute the heart of mathematics. The second goal is to raise
interest in mathematical competitions, and to help students prepare for them.
Also, Dan Geba is organizing an annual math contest to be held at UR
starting in April 2007.
